HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate was revealed during Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase and is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2027. The arcade snowboarding game, from Wabisabi Games and Acclaim, is also headed to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
The game is a Y2K-style arcade snowboarder with big air, long combos and courses based on real-world locations. Publisher Acclaim describes it as a love letter to the SSX franchise and the extreme sports games of the early 2000s. The Switch 2 version can be played docked on a TV or in handheld mode.
HYPERyuki offers three modes. Challenge asks players to complete objectives and climb the leaderboard, Race pits riders against NPCs or other players with tricks feeding a boost meter, and Chill is an endless mode for cruising the tracks and looking for secrets. Multiplayer supports up to eight players online or in local split-screen. Riders include a giant kaiju and a sentient snowboarding taco.
According to the publisher, a Steam demo will arrive next month. Players can wishlist the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox and Steam, and a Switch 2 announcement trailer is available on YouTube.
The game was first revealed at last year’s Play Acclaim Showcase. It is developed by Mexican indie studio Wabisabi Games, known for RKGK / Rakugaki. Wabisabi CEO and co-founder Anwar Noriega said being included in the Indie World Showcase was “a dream come true” for the team.
