Splashteam and The Arcade Crew announced Acornia: Mirror Worlds, a shop-management action-adventure hybrid launching on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.
Players control Alva, a squirrel who returns to her village in a tree after time away to find it corrupted by the Duramen dimension. She runs a dessert shop and ventures into dungeons to fight corrupted spirits and cleanse the corruption. The pastries she bakes serve double duty: selling them earns money to rebuild the town, and stuffing them in her cheeks turns them into weapons to fire at enemies during dungeon runs.
The game blends farming and ingredient harvesting with shop management. As Alva gains customers and reputation, she can hire employees to automate tasks and craft more desserts. New recipes unlock stronger weapons, and completing tasks for neighbors and seasonal events increases Alva’s strength and earns better reviews.
Alva can also swallow defeated enemies and use them as projectiles against subsequent opponents. The game progresses through a two-dimensional approach: managing the shop to fund village restoration while grinding through the Duramen dimension’s dungeons.
Splashteam previously developed Tinykin and Splasher. The Arcade Crew is Dotemu’s indie publishing division and has published titles including Abyssus and Drop Duchy.
