Overwatch x Stellar Blade is official, and it’s called EVE Protocol

Stellar Blade's official account announced an Overwatch x EVE Protocol collaboration, and players are already picking which heroes should get the skins.

Overwatch has its next crossover, and it comes from Shift Up. Stellar Blade’s official account announced an “Overwatch x EVE Protocol” collaboration this morning, with a short “You have my attention!” and co-branded art carrying both logos. That points to Stellar Blade skins coming to Blizzard’s hero shooter, likely led by Eve herself.

So far, that is the whole announcement. Neither side has shared a release date, a list of skins, which heroes get them, or what the bundles will cost.

Which heroes get the skins?

That is the question players are already arguing over. On r/Overwatch, fans are pitching Stellar Blade’s cast onto Overwatch’s roster: Eve and Raven for heroes like Kiriko, Juno or Mercy, and the hulking Naytiba creatures for tanks like Roadhog.

Not everyone is sold. Some players say Overwatch has already had its stylish action game crossover with NieR: Automata earlier this year, and others are asking for different franchises entirely. Collabs have become a regular part of Overwatch’s seasons, though, and Stellar Blade has a big, loyal audience since it came to PC in June 2025.

What’s next

Overwatch’s current season started on October 6, so this collab could land in the middle of the season or in the next one. Blizzard hasn’t confirmed either. We’ll update this story when the skins, heroes and dates are revealed.
