Moonfrost, a narrative-driven cozy life-sim builder from Oxalis Games, launches on Steam Early Access on October 12 at 6 PM UK time for $14.99 USD.
The game tasks players with restoring a village devastated by meteor storms. You’ll harvest, fish, forage, craft and cook while constructing and customizing buildings. As a Frost Hunter, you harness the mysterious powers of fallen meteors to transform them into structures and rebuild the community.
Building relationships with characters forms the core of the experience. Each villager has distinct personality traits and evolving story arcs, and your choices shape the dynamics around you. The game combines a relaxing slice-of-life loop with an overarching narrative centered on a mysterious second moon.
Gameplay cycles through harvesting raw materials, crafting and building, taking on quests that unlock new tools, and exploring hidden temple areas. Weather, day/night cycles and resource management systems add depth. The game features pixel-art visuals and allows extensive customization of characters, farm and house.
Moonfrost will be available on PC via Steam. Early Access keys are available through the publisher.
