Lovely Hellplace has released Entropy on Steam for $11.99. The dark fantasy turn-based RPG comes from the UK studio behind Dread Delusion and is published by DreadXP.
Entropy is set in Draenog, a bleak world where humanity has gradually declined due to infertility rather than a single apocalyptic event. Players lead a party of up to six mercenaries through towns and tactical battles against creatures that inhabit the desolate land between settlements.
The game uses low-poly graphics designed to evoke PS1-era aesthetics. Combat focuses on targeting enemy limbs to weaken opponents, with severed limbs affecting enemy mobility. Players can recruit new party members from towns, with most mercenaries treated as expendable — fallen members can be replaced with treasure or leveled up to unlock new perks.
The game draws inspiration from classic JRPGs and games like King’s Field and Morrowind, according to the studio. Towns are described as squalid, medieval settlements mostly ruled by tyrants, and exploration is mixed with the turn-based battle system.
