Developer Melbot has launched a Steam demo for GodsTV, a ’90s-inspired action roguelite steeped in showbiz parody and adult animation humor. The demo is out now on Windows PC.

The demo features around two hours of single-player gameplay across four levels with two playable Contenders: Kinni, the Stripper Berserker who fights with heavy melee weapons, and Leetah, the Lethal Popstar who uses elegant precision combat. Each character has their own story and combat style.

In GodsTV, players fight on television to harvest the souls of their fans, which feed the Gods of Capitalypse in exchange for divine upgrades like new weapons, abilities, and Godskins. Earning Fame—the game’s version of experience points—makes players more likely to attract sponsors and strike deals with the Gods, though the studio notes that every favor comes with strings attached.

The script comes from the team behind Helluva Boss, while Brandon Rogers, who voices Blitzø in that series, leads the voice cast as the Contenders’ talent agent. The full game is planned to enter Early Access later in 2026 as a single-player experience, with two-player online co-op planned for the 1.0 release. The full roster will expand to four Contenders, adding Pepperishi, the Pizza Shaman, and V1KTU$ M4X, the Totalitarian Tinker.

Players can wishlist the full game on Steam alongside the demo.
