Food Truck Empire, an economic strategy management game from developer Lichthund and publisher Fireshine Games, has released an extended demo on Steam. The game lands on PC later this year.

Players start with a single food truck serving basic hamburgers and expand to managing a fleet across multiple cities. The game involves customizing trucks with colors, stickers, and custom drawings, then designing the cooking workflow inside to automate operations and satisfy customer demand for five-star reviews.

As you unlock new ingredients and appliances, additional recipes and cooking methods become available. Expansion pushes you into new territories with different regional food preferences. Strategic decisions include targeting downtown lunch crowds despite competition, or pursuing late-night party-goers and industrial workers. City-wide events offer large payouts for businesses that can adapt quickly.

The extended demo is available now on Steam. Sign-ups are open for a playtest coming in September with additional features. Food Truck Empire will also be playable at Gamescom in the Indie Arena Booth, Hall 10.2, Booth F010g – E019.
