Food Truck Empire, an economic strategy and management game from developer Lichthund and publisher Fireshine Games, has released an extended demo on Steam ahead of its full launch later this year on PC.
Players can download the demo now to customize their food truck fleet and create recipes. The game has you start with a single truck serving basic hamburgers, then expand to manage multiple trucks across different cities. Success depends on satisfying customers with unique dishes to earn five-star reviews and unlock new ingredients and appliances.
You’ll design your trucks with colors, stickers and custom drawings, then automate the cooking workflow inside each one. As you expand, you’ll face different regional culinary preferences and must decide where to operate—competing for wealthy downtown lunch crowds or targeting industrial workers and late-night diners. City-wide events offer major payouts for those who adapt quickly.
Fireshine Games is also running a playtest in September with additional features. Food Truck Empire will be playable at Gamescom 2026 in the Indie Arena Booth, Hall 10.2.
