The short answer
- How
- Gift characters who are in Dagsion, take them to Inn meals (up to 3 a week), watch the Theater with them and fight next to them. Support is global: a level raised on one path stays on every path and never drops.
- What they like
- Most characters have a clear theme. Horse lovers want Mane Ornament and Horse Grooming Kit, readers want books, fighters want Training Pillar and Training Weights, and adults generally like fermented drinks such as Ghosh. Item descriptions hint at who enjoys them.
- Romance
- There is no romance or marriage system. Story romances are scripted. “Dates” is a fruit item, and Halvin needs 10 of them to join.
- The trap
- Some support conversations lock if you miss them before a set chapter. Players flag Lysander and Lilian, Fabio and Halvin, and Leda with Sirocco and Buccar.

30-second quick start (TL;DR)
- Gift first: the first gift unlocks Inn meals with a character and is required to recruit them.
- Who to gift: only characters currently in Dagsion.
- How often: one guide reports one gift per character per in-game week.
- Weeks start on Sunday. Gifts, Inn meals, Theater, temple service and training reset weekly.
- Inn meals: your lord plus 2 guests, up to 3 meals a week. Swap a guest who dislikes the dish.
- Eshmel: bonds in Part I only through Bird Time with the Pale Raven, once a week.
- No romance: no marriage, no S-rank romance. “Dates” is an item.
What this guide helps you do
Support level decides who you can recruit and unlocks support conversations, so gifts are one of the most useful things you can do with your Free Time. This guide lists the liked gifts for 49 characters, explains every other way to raise support, covers the support conversations players say you can lock yourself out of, and answers the question many people search for: whether Fortune’s Weave has romance. It does not.
Checked on Ver. 1.1.0 (October 15, 2026). The gift lists come from two published lists that mostly agree. Where only one list names an item, we say so. No source publishes disliked gifts per character.
Gifting only works on characters in Dagsion, and the first gift matters most
Gifts unlock after the gift and recruitment tutorial. You can only give a gift to a character who is in Dagsion at the time. The first gift you give someone does two jobs: it unlocks Inn meals with them, and it is a hard requirement for recruiting them. Our recruitment guide lists the Support level each unit needs on each path.
One guide reports a limit of one gift per character per in-game week. Others only say gifts are limited. Plan for one a week each.
Reactions: one guide describes five tiers. Dislike gives nothing, Neutral a small amount, Like a medium amount, Really like a large amount, and Love double. Only one source describes these tiers, so treat the exact sizes as reported. The useful part is confirmed by several guides: item descriptions hint at who enjoys them, with lines such as “primarily enjoyed by book lovers”. Adults generally like fermented drinks, and children generally do not.
Where to buy gifts: one guide names the Dagsion Marketplace as the main shop, with stock that grows each chapter, plus a merchant at the tavern in Lowtown. Other towns sell rarer gifts, and yellow item orbs in the world refresh between chapters.

Support is global and raised by much more than gifts
Support between two characters is saved across your whole file. A level raised on any path is kept on every path, and it never goes down. That makes early gifting on any path an investment for the others.
Support levels: recruitment requirements are written as Support 1 to 3. One guide describes bond levels 1 to 5, with 2 as C, 3 as B, 4 as A and 5 as S, and S only with Eshmel late in the game. For ordinary pairs, treat A as the ceiling. Sources do not fully agree on the scale.
- Inn meals: up to 3 meals a week, your lord plus 2 guests. If a guest dislikes the food, swap them for someone else. Meals can raise support between any pair at the table, not only with your lord. Renown 3 expands the menu and Renown 5 improves meal effects.
- Theater: watch a show with a guest from Renown 7. From Renown 8 you can act, but only with recruited units.
- Battle: attacking next to an ally and Link Attacks in Clashes both raise support.
- Weekly activities: arena training, Temple Service, World Map feasts (Renown 2) and Thermae baths (Renown 8).
- Choices: a star icon marks an option the character likes and gives a bonus. A swirl marks one they dislike.
Eshmel only bonds through Bird Time in Part I
Eshmel does not take gifts or meals like the others in Part I. You bond through Bird Time: feed the Pale Raven once per week, then pick replies that match each unit’s tone. There are about 12 lines, each with 3 replies. It is worth doing every week, because Eshmel has A-rank conversations with nearly everyone.
Restart Chapter lets you farm support without losing it
Several guides describe the same trick. Restarting a chapter keeps support EXP. Go to Base Menu, System, Restart Chapter, then host meals, auto-advance a week at the Inn, and repeat. Use it for a pair you need before a deadline. Plan your weeks with our calendar guide.
Four support chains can lock if you wait too long
Players have compiled a list of support conversations that become unavailable after a set point. It comes from one community list, so treat it as a warning rather than a rule.
- Lysander and Lilian: see their B support before Ch. 8, and before the Lilian and Theodora B support.
- Fabio and Halvin: their C support is only available before Dietrich’s Ch. 11.
- Leda with Sirocco and Buccar: Leda needs C with both before Ch. 11.
- Sirocco and Buccar: reach B before Ch. 9.
There is no romance or marriage, and Dates are a fruit
Fortune’s Weave has no romance or marriage system. There is no player-chosen S-rank romance at the end. Romances that happen in the story are scripted, and you cannot start one through supports.
If you searched for “Fortune’s Weave dates”, you probably saw the item. Dates is a fruit and crop item, not an outing with a character. Halvin needs 10 Dates to join on every path where she can be recruited. Guides report three ways to get them: gathering nodes in the north-west desert, buying 10 at the market in Baina Oasis, or farming them on Cai’s path, where the quest “Huge, Hairy Beasts” gives Dates to plant. Each method comes from a different guide, so check them in game. Our recruitment guide has the full Halvin section.
Step-by-step: a weekly support routine
Tick these off as you go. Your progress stays on this device.
Start on Sunday
The week resets then. Plan who you want to raise this week.
Gift everyone you want to recruit
One liked gift each, to characters in Dagsion. Read item descriptions for hints.
Book three Inn meals
Your lord plus two guests. Pair people who need support with each other too.
Do Bird Time
Feed the Pale Raven and match each unit’s tone.
Watch the Theater
From Renown 7, with a guest. Act with recruited units from Renown 8.
Fight in pairs
Keep the pairs you are building next to each other in battle.
Check the support locks
Before Ch. 8, 9 and 11, see the conversations on the lock list.
Troubleshooting and common mistakes
- Mistake: Trying to gift someone outside Dagsion. Fix: Gifts only work on characters present in Dagsion.
- Mistake: Skipping the first gift. Fix: It unlocks Inn meals and is required to recruit.
- Mistake: Giving adults’ drinks to children. Fix: Fermented drinks suit adults. Children generally do not like them.
- Mistake: Keeping a guest who hates the meal. Fix: Swap them out for someone who likes it.
- Mistake: Ignoring Eshmel. Fix: Do Bird Time every week. It is the only way to bond with Eshmel in Part I.
- Mistake: Hunting for a romance route. Fix: There is none. Dates are a fruit item for Halvin.
