Showing the top 100 of 168 demos with players. Rank changes compare with 24 hours ago.

How the chart works

  • Every demo, every hourWe read the live player count of every Next Fest demo from Steam’s public player count API. Demos with players are checked hourly and the whole fest every four hours.
  • Players, not wishlistsThis counts people in a demo at that moment. It is not sales, wishlists or followers, and it is not Valve’s own wrap-up list.
  • Idle games are markedIdle and desktop games keep counting while they run in the background, so we label them and leave them out of Climbing fast.
  • Nobody pays to rankThe order is the player count and nothing else. No placement on this chart is for sale.
