Owlcat Games has introduced Saro, a sanctioned psyker companion, for Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy. The character is one of ten companions players can recruit in the game’s ongoing closed beta.
Saro wields pyromantic abilities in service of the Inquisition after undergoing a harrowing sanctioning process as a young psyker. In combat, he can incinerate enemies with firestorms, but overusing his powers creates disturbances in the warp that can summon dangerous phenomena and creatures. While his psychic abilities are formidable and his knowledge of supernatural phenomena aids investigations, he lacks physical strength.
The closed beta is available now to anyone who purchased a Founder’s Pack. Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy lands on Windows PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store) and consoles (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S).
