WARDOGS Season 2 lands on Steam October 15, introducing four new weapons, four new vehicles, three buildables, rain weather effects, and an experimental wager system to BULKHEAD’s 100-player tactical FPS.
The new weapons are the TCX-SPR Assault Rifle, M14 DMR, PP-19 Bizon SMG, and Evo-3 Ultra LMG, each with new attachments. Vehicles include the Wolf-110, an armed assault variant of the Wolf-110, the T-72B3 main battle tank, and the Flakpanzer Gepard anti-air vehicle. Three new buildables—an MG Nest, Large Shelter, and Wooden Step—let players fortify positions.
The rain weather preset affects visibility, engagement ranges, and sound, with thunder synchronized across servers that can mask footsteps. The Experimental Wager Vendor lets players stake in-game cash on their own performance by selecting objectives with additional conditions for higher payouts. BULKHEAD says it may add or remove this feature throughout the season if it becomes exploitable.
Season 2 also overhauls combat, faction balance, and progression systems. Weapon damage, recoil, and suppression receive adjustments to establish clearer weapon class roles. The blue Lonestar faction, which had the lowest win rate in Season 1, gets Season 2-exclusive cash and XP bonuses, along with uniform and spawn position changes. Late-match team switching is now restricted, and falling teams receive vendor discounts.
The update includes improvements to squad coordination, vehicle handling, controller responsiveness, and rewards for teamplay. Performance optimizations, bug fixes, and server stability improvements are also part of the patch. Full patch notes arrive next week.
WARDOGS launched on Steam Early Access in September and has sold over 3 million copies, according to the studio, with a peak of more than 425,000 concurrent players.
