Sky Castle Studios has announced a Kickstarter launch date of September 10 for Wildmagic Frontier, a character-driven deck-building tactics RPG coming to browser and Windows PC.

The game tasks players with recruiting companions, crafting cards, and building decks around powerful synergies to fight through tactical grid-based battles. Wildmagic Frontier supports solo play or cooperative matches with up to two friends in seamless browser-based multiplayer.

A notable feature ties the game to Sky Castle Studios’ existing Hero Forge 3D miniatures customizer. Players can import custom characters they’ve created in Hero Forge or select from premade archetypes, then use them throughout their adventure. The environments blend physical and digital sculpting to recreate the look of an elaborate tabletop setup.

Core gameplay involves exploring handcrafted dioramas, completing quests to recruit new party members, expanding a settlement to unlock additional heroes, and crafting cards that synergize into unique deck builds. Each recruitable companion brings their own personality and combat style to battles.

The Kickstarter campaign opens September 10. Interested players can follow the project now to receive notifications when the campaign launches.
