Hooded Horse has signed BELTFED, a roguelike factory-defense game that lands on Steam. The game has accumulated 1.7 million trailer views and over 200,000 wishlists in the two weeks since its reveal, according to the publisher.

In BELTFED, you control a rogue AI tasked with automating weapon production to fight waves of bugs. You’ll lay conveyor belts, wire up smelters and assemblers, and balance the power grid to turn raw materials into firepower as endless hordes of bugs attack your position.

The game uses permanent progression to give each run weight. Defeating waves feeds unlocks including new weapons, buildings, upgrade cards, and unique Nexus cores. Before each deployment, you customize loadouts to tune your approach to any playstyle. The publisher describes the game as turning “war into an industrial scale.”
