Dotemu has released Blasterbug: Last Bug Standing as a free-to-play title on Steam. The local multiplayer party game supports up to eight players and was announced during the Pixel Arcadia retro showcase.

The game features five gameplay modes: Death Battle, Coin Battle, Crown Battle, Paint Battle, and Party Battle, which mixes all modes together. Players choose from 15 playable bug characters, each with unique abilities and special attacks, and compete across 15 arenas including Bugville, the Sewers, and the Kitchen.

Dotemu has also released the Absolum Pack DLC for $1.99, which adds a crossover character from 2025’s Absolum called Galandra. The pack includes a new arena called Jaroba, styled after Absolum’s fantasy universe. Galandra wields a colossal sword and a Necrotic Wave ability.

The core game is free to download and play indefinitely on Steam, even without purchasing the DLC.
