Fireshine Games and developer Undercoders have announced physical Standard and Deluxe editions of Denshattack!, co-published by Fangamer, along with vinyl and CD soundtracks from Kid Katana and three merch drops. Physical copy sign-ups are open now, and pre-orders start October 23.
The physical editions are for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, and each includes the full game on a disc or cartridge. The Standard and Deluxe editions are sold through Fangamer’s store. According to the publisher, the Deluxe edition’s contents are still to be confirmed. Apparel and pins are on sale now, including two T-shirts, On the Attack! and Witness Peak Beauty, and an enamel Beppu Star Spinner pin.
The soundtrack releases come from Kid Katana Records. A 3LP trifold vinyl is available in Blue, Yellow and Standard editions, and a 4-CD set includes a music fanzine by Fernando and Puri-kun with behind-the-scenes material on the soundtrack’s production. Pre-orders for the soundtracks open October 23 through Kid Katana’s store and selected retailers.
Free rhythm mode coming to all platforms
A free update called Sei’s Rhythm Showdown is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. It expands the Guitar Hero-inspired mechanics from the Suzuna Sei boss battle. Players guide their train along the rails and hit energy notes on the beat, choosing from tracks that each have their own beat maps. The update also adds new trains, skins and quality-of-life changes.
Console players will also get the previous PC-only update later this month. It added online leaderboards, a cutscene selector and new train skins. According to the publisher, the game has over 300,000 players since its launch earlier this year.
