Deep Silver and KING Art Games have released a nine-minute Game Overview trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV. The trailer covers the game’s four playable factions, its campaign and multiplayer modes, and its co-op survival mode The Last Stand.
According to the publisher, the game features four complete campaigns with more than 70 missions and branching paths. The four factions are the Space Marines, Orks, Necrons and Adeptus Mechanicus, each with its own units and mechanics. Skirmish mode supports up to five AI opponents, and multiplayer offers 30 maps and three game types.
The Last Stand returns as a three-player co-op mode. Players choose from five heroes and build a Strikeforce of companion units to hold off waves of enemies. The publisher also says the game adds a Painter tool that lets players color armor and equipment piece by piece.
The game launches on December 3, 2026. Players who buy the Commander Edition get early access on November 30 through a three-day early unlock. Both editions can be pre-ordered now with a 10% discount.
According to the publisher, Year One will bring free updates including the return of Crusade Mode, new maps, modes, Commanders and a Mission Editor. Two major story expansions are also planned, one of which introduces a new playable faction.
