Devolver Digital and Brigada Games have released Miami Zero, a free expansion for zombie checkpoint simulator Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, on PC and Xbox. The expansion moves the action to Miami, where players see the early days of the outbreak.

According to the publisher, Miami Zero adds new survivors, quests, and gameplay. The storyline centers on a damaged luxury yacht that players help restore as a way out of the city. The virus is also still evolving, and players can study its mutations while tracing the infection back to its source.

Miami Zero is available now through Xbox and PC Game Pass, and it is free to all owners of the original game. Players who do not own the base game can still access the expansion through those services.

To mark the launch, the base game is 35% off on Steam from October 15 to 19, 2026. The publisher describes the game as a best-seller, though that figure comes from the publisher and has not been independently verified. More information is available at the official Quarantine Zone website.
