Fans of Kaiju No. 8 have a big reason to celebrate as Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME is officially stomping onto PC via Steam, marking the first time the popular mobile title makes its way to a wider platform. The launch coincides with the release of Main Story Chapter 4: London Defense Operation, along with the debut of two powerful 5★ (Star) characters.
From Mobile to PC
Originally released on iOS and Android, Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME has already built up a global following thanks to its mix of action, tactical play, and faithful ties to Naoya Matsumoto’s hit manga. With the Steam release, players can now sync their progress between PC and mobile, letting them swap seamlessly between platforms. For those who have been grinding on the go, this expansion onto the PC offers more flexibility to dive into the battles from a bigger screen.

The London Defense Operation Begins
Chapter 4 of the main story sets the stage in London, where a new dimensional gate has unleashed chaos. Series leads Kafka, Kikoru, and Sagan are dispatched to the city, joining forces with CLOZER member Chester Lochburn, a former British defense captain with a reputation for versatile combat tactics. Together, they face off against an armored Kaiju terrorizing the streets.
Adding to the intensity, Kikoru Shinomiya takes up a new weapon forged from her father’s legacy, stepping into a pivotal role in this battle of survival. According to the press release, fans of the story will also find fresh character episodes that expand on Chester and Kikoru’s personalities outside the battlefield.
New Characters & Pity Gacha Fes
The update introduces two 5★ (Star) recruits:
- [The All-Rounder] Chester Lochburn – a calm strategist capable of unleashing immense power with his assault rifle.
- [The Inherited Will] Kikoru Shinomiya – wielding the Dimensional Numbers Weapon 2, a devastating gauntlet built from Kaiju No. 2 materials.
Both characters headline the new Gacha Fes, a pity system where every three 10-pulls earns players a free 10-pull. Their inclusion adds fresh tactical layers for players eager to expand their rosters.
The Steam debut further cements Kaiju No. 8’s rise as a cross-media juggernaut. The manga has already surpassed 19 million copies in circulation, while the anime adaptation has drawn massive global viewership. With Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME now spanning mobile and PC, it’s clear the franchise is positioning itself as a long-term player in the anime-gaming crossover space. And as a fan of the anime, I’m very much here for it.
Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME is free-to-play with in-app purchases and is now available on App Store, Google Play, and Steam.
