Studio Daimon has released a new demo for Food Devils during Steam Next Fest, alongside new gameplay footage. The post-apocalyptic tactical RPG is set to launch on PC via Steam on November 3, with consoles to follow, according to the studio’s press email.
In the game, you are the last chef in a post-apocalyptic world. Your job is to attract adventurers with monstrous food, sign them to contracts with Food Devils, and send them on expeditions to collect ingredients. As the story progresses, you customize and expand your restaurant for added benefits and options, combining roguelite progression with strategic SRPG gameplay.
The game also includes romance mechanics. Players can romance any of the Food Devils or pair two of them together, which the studio says unlocks new abilities. Combat is turn-based and tactical, and players can cook new dishes to serve to the Food Devils.
The studio says the new footage shows the strategic gameplay planned for the November launch. Further platform details and a console release date had not been announced at the time of the email.
