Lion Shield has released a major update for Nova Roma, its Roman-themed city builder, adding a disease system, gladiatorial battles and a photo mode. The patch is available now, according to publisher Hooded Horse.
The new Plague system asks players to contain deadly diseases using a new Clinic building. Apollo is also added as the newest god in the pantheon, and the studio describes his blessing as tentative.
In the colosseum, gladiators now fight, and players decide how each battle ends. The update also includes a photo mode for capturing city scenes.
