Deep Silver and KING Art Games have released a new CGI narrative trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, showcasing the Necrons as the third of four playable factions. The trailer, titled “It Shall Be Ours Again,” follows Necron Chronomancer Thothmek as he awakens the Szerkhan Dynasty after a 60 million year slumber to reclaim the planet Kronus from the other warring factions.
The cinematic shows Thothmek observing Space Marines and Orks battling for control of Kronus before he begins rousing the Necron legions. The trailer culminates in a reveal of a massive Necron fleet gathering in orbit above the planet, ready to descend and purge all opposition.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV launches on September 17, 2026. Players who pre-order the Commander Edition will gain access three days early on September 14. Both editions are available to pre-order now with a 10% discount.
Year One content includes free updates featuring Crusade Mode, new maps, modes, Commanders, and a Mission Editor. Two major story expansions are planned to release over the year, with one introducing a fourth playable faction to the campaign.
