Mycopunk, the sci-fi co-op squad shooter from developer Pigeons at Play and publisher Devolver Digital, has left Early Access and launched its 1.0 version on PC and PlayStation 5. The game is priced at $14.99, and according to the publisher, it is currently offered at 50% off as a limited-time launch deal.
The game first entered Early Access in July last year. In the story, a mysterious fungal threat is spreading across the surface of New Atlas, and players take on a clean-up crew, squading up to push the threat back to the moon. Players build custom weapons using a grid-based upgrade system, and enemies can grab pieces of defeated foes to grow bigger and stronger.
The 1.0 update adds new guns, grenades, modes, maps, and a new playable character. It also adds wearable hats. Between missions, players can relax in the H.U.B., an orbital dropship the publisher describes as stuffed with toys, games, and secrets.
This is the game’s PlayStation 5 debut. According to the publisher, PS5 players can also access Mycopunk through PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium.
