Hooded Horse has announced that Drill Keeper, its roguelike siege defense and deckbuilding game, will launch on PC Game Pass next year. The news was shared at the ID@Xbox x IGN Showcase, where developer ShoulderByte also released a new trailer.
According to the publisher, the game puts players in charge of accumulating wealth for the Orion Prospectors Team. Runs take place across fully destructible worlds, where players dig up treasure while building mining fortresses to defend their drill from alien swarms.
Combat and progression are built around a deckbuilding system. Players combine cards, artifacts, and runes to shape their strategy, with the goal of avoiding being swallowed up by the abyss for as long as possible.
The announcement did not include a specific release date beyond the Game Pass launch next year, and no pricing details were shared in the press material. Hooded Horse directed readers to a GamesPress article for further information.
