Terms of Service for Output Lag Community Blog

Welcome to the Output Lag community blog! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the community blog features on the Output Lag website (the “Service”). By submitting a blog post or otherwise using the community blog, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not submit content to the community blog.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the community blog feature of Output Lag, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including contributors of community blog posts.  

2. User-Submitted Content

a. Your Content: You are solely responsible for the content of any blog posts, including text, images, videos, or any other materials, that you submit to the Output Lag community blog (“Your Content”). You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to publish Your Content and that Your Content does not infringe on the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.  

b. License to Output Lag: By submitting Your Content, you grant Output Lag a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform Your Content in connection with the Service and Output Lag’s (and its successors’ and affiliates’) business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels.  

c. No Obligation to Publish: You acknowledge that Output Lag is not obligated to publish any content you submit. Output Lag reserves the right to review, edit, or remove Your Content at its sole discretion, for any reason or no reason, without prior notice.

3. Content Guidelines and Prohibited Subject Matters

You agree not to submit any content that:

a. Is intentionally false, misleading, or inaccurate for deceptive purposes.
b. Is defamatory, libelous, or invasive of privacy.
c. Is harassing, abusive, threatening, or incites violence.
d. Is hateful or discriminatory based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, disability, or sexual orientation.
e. Is obscene, indecent, sexually explicit, or contains pornography.
f. Infringes on the intellectual property rights (including copyright, trademark, or patent) of others.
g. Violates any applicable law or regulation.
h. Promotes illegal activities or provides instructions on how to commit illegal activities.
i. Constitutes spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional material.
j. Contains malware, viruses, or any other harmful code.
k. Impersonates any person or entity or misrepresents your affiliation with any person or entity.
l. Collects or solicits personal information from other users.

Output Lag reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether submitted content violates these guidelines and to take appropriate action, including removing the content and/or terminating the user’s account.

4. Rejection of Blog Posts

Output Lag reserves the right to reject any submitted community blog post for any reason, or no reason, at its sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, content that does not align with the focus or quality standards of Output Lag, is duplicative of existing content, or is deemed unsuitable for publication for any other reason. Output Lag is not obligated to provide an explanation for the rejection of a blog post.

5. Moderation and Enforcement

Output Lag does not pre-screen all community blog content, and you may be exposed to content that you find offensive or objectionable. However, Output Lag reserves the right to monitor the community blog and remove any content that violates these Terms.

If you encounter any content that you believe violates these Terms, please report it to Output Lag immediately.

6. Disclaimer of Endorsement

The views and opinions expressed in community blog posts are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of Output Lag. Output Lag does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any user-submitted content.

7. Changes to the Terms

Output Lag reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the community blog after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.  

8. Termination

Output Lag may terminate or suspend your access to the community blog feature immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Maryland, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.  

10. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Output Lag regarding the community blog feature and supersede all prior and contemporaneous written or oral agreements between you and Output Lag.
